Class Notes: Mike Mathieu sent along some photos of the RRMC Parachuting Club and related that at Roads, “a lot of cadets took the weekend wonder parachute course. You would drive up to Comox really early Saturday morning, spend all of Saturday being trained at the civilian parachute club at Comox Airport, and on Sunday you would jump out of an airplane. I remember driving out to Comox in Mike Kennedy's car with a carload of other cadets, but the only one I can remember is Mike K”, although he thought the cadet in the pictures below might have been Claus Gorgichuk. Doug Poucher said he remembered those “fun trips to Comox as I was the Parachute Club President at the time and was involved in organizing them. I can recall Claus in those days also, and, yes, can verify that that is definitely him hanging onto the wing strut while practicing his stuff.”
