With Thanks to 12168 Bob Fehr

It’s 1976, second year down in the halls of Lasalle Sqn.  I get woken up in the middle of the night by Dwight Davies and a cast of many.  Dwight was preparing for the midterm in Classical Dynamics when he came upon a question he couldn't solve.  He had pulled the others that were cramming into his quagmire, and it came down to awakening me.

I tried but could not solve the problem and committed to ask Professor Tarkington before the mid-term exam the following morning.  I seconded the professor with a group of stragglers that had worked on the question and was surprised by his non-responsiveness.  I continued to push for the answer when he finally broke down and told us that you had to replace the cos-sin with the anti-tangent function.

Needless to say, we got into the mid-term and it was the same question.  The five of us trying to solve it performed admirably and it really sucked to be anyone else.  Thanks Dwight.
